Services

Start small. Prove it. Then keep going.

Learn how the business really works, fix what matters most, then keep improving. Fixed fees for each phase, or a rolling contract if you’d rather keep me on.

Not just software

The answer isn’t always something new.

I look at the process first and the technology second. Often the biggest win is the cheapest one.

  • Use what you have, properly

Where your existing software falls down, where it’s being used the hard way, and the settings and habits that fix it.

  • Simple bolt-ons

Small additions to the systems you already pay for, instead of replacing them.

  • Custom tools

Built to fit when nothing off the shelf does, and designed with the people who’ll use them.

  • AI where it earns its place

For the jobs traditional software can’t do well, like reading documents, drafting and checking. Never AI for its own sake.

Start here

Discovery

You can’t fix a business you don’t understand. I spend two or three days a week with you, learning how work really flows from enquiry to invoice, then give you concrete recommendations you can act on, whether or not we work together afterwards.

Duration
2–4 weeks
Time with you
2–3 days a week
Price
From £3,500
You get
Findings, baseline, roadmap

Signs it’s time

  • Growth has outpaced the spreadsheets and paper that got you here.
  • Different people give different answers to “where’s that job?”
  • You’re about to buy software and want to know what you actually need first.
  • Margins are slipping and you can’t see exactly where.
  • Key processes live in one or two people’s heads.

Best fit

  • UK manufacturers and trade businesses
  • Roughly £2m–£50m turnover
  • Owner- or MD-led
  • No in-house systems or IT lead

What you get

  • How work really flows

A map of your processes as they actually run today, with the pain points marked.

  • A baseline

Hours, errors, lead times and costs, measured before anything changes, so results can be proved later.

  • Recommendations

What to change in workflows and systems, from better use of what you have to new tools, ranked by value and effort.

  • A playback session

A working session with your leadership team to walk through the findings and agree where to start.

Value against effort, so the next step is obvious

Every opportunity is scored on the value it creates (hours, errors, £) and the effort to deliver it. Quick wins go first and fund the rest.

  1. Online order form → job card: high value, low effort, a quick win.
  2. Use the ERP’s own scheduling: high value, low effort, a quick win.
  3. Replace costing spreadsheet: high value, high effort.
  4. ERP integration: high value, high effort.
  5. Tidy shared drive: low value, low effort.
  6. Barcode stock tracking: low value, high effort.
Illustrative example, not client data.

Fix it

Build

More time getting the spec right, less time writing code. AI does the heavy lifting on the build, so the effort goes into making sure the solution fits how your people work, and actually gets used.

  • From a Discovery roadmap

We take the top items from your roadmap and deliver them in phases, each with a measured result.

  • From your own brief

You already know what you need. Explain the problem, and I’ll work with you on a detailed spec before anything is built. The spec is yours to keep.

Spec from £750, usually 1–3 days

  1. Spec

    Get it right on paper

Who uses it, what it must do, and how we’ll know it worked.

  2. Build

    Build it fast

Working versions in days, tested with the people who’ll use them.

  3. Roll out

    Train the team

Hands-on training, written guides, and support while it beds in.

  4. Measure

    Prove it

Compare against the baseline, in hours, errors and pounds.

Anything from a week for a focused fix to several months for a bigger change. Quoted per phase.

Keep improving

Ongoing support

The systems lead your business doesn’t have yet, for a few days a month. Right for businesses that already have a plan and need someone to deliver it, and for anything I’ve built.

From £1,100 a month

What’s included

  • Own the roadmap and keep priorities tied to measurable value
  • Keep building: improvements every month, not just advice
  • Host, maintain and fix the tools I’ve built for you
  • Be your informed voice with software and IT suppliers
  • Help the team get the best from AI, safely
  • A monthly report in hours, errors and £

Two ways to work together

  • Fixed fee per phase

A fixed price for Discovery, each spec and each build phase, agreed before we start. You know exactly what you’re paying for.

  • Rolling contract

An agreed number of days a week or month, covering discovery, building and support as priorities change, with notice on either side. The longer I work with you, the more I know the business, and the better the results.

Common questions

Do we have to start with Discovery?

No. If you already know what needs fixing, we can start with a spec. If the spec turns up a bigger problem, I’ll say so.

We already have an ERP. Is this still useful?

Yes. Often the gap is in how it’s set up and used, not the software itself. Discovery shows which.

What if we don’t go ahead after Discovery?

No problem. You keep the findings and roadmap and can deliver them yourselves or with anyone else.

Who looks after what you build?

I can, as part of ongoing support. Or I hand it over with documentation, so your team or another supplier can take it on.

Is our information kept confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality agreement as standard, and nothing client-identifiable is ever shared or used in a case study without written permission.

A 30-minute call. No pitch, no jargon. You’ll leave with at least one thing worth fixing, whether we work together or not.
